I thought I'd try something here. While I'm a bit new to producing 360 videos, here's a quick test using Modo801!

Sorry it's a bit rough... I'll try rendering 2k and will process tomorrow. The background... unfortunately didn't do 360 all the way, so I'll retry!

A bit of another super happy promotion! So by day I'm a motion graphics designer and I sometimes land on other people's super awesome projects. This time round I worked a little bit (just 1 scene + some technical stuff) on this music video by UDR (my friend).

Music: Yokubou Fire (trans. Fire of Desire) feat. Hatsune Miku by Radio Mouse (Ho-ri-)

Music Video: UDR (udr-kitamon.tumblr.com)

If you guys leave commentaries around, I'll pass them on to my friends! :) They'd love to hear from you!!

So I started up a youtube channel just to upload some timelapses of my painting work. Just to help out it has some commentary as well.

Of course, subscribe for more and I hope to be able to do a video every week. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy!

I've been way too busy for all sorts of stuff... it's honestly tough keeping up with social media and other internet outlets I use. I try my best though.

I don't really wanna submit any "art" to NG right now but I figure I'd post this while I have it in my mind. I've been playing old games and recently picked up Megaman Legends from 1997. Just a note, I'm one of those folks who haven't played video games during childhood. I barely care d about it and it wasn't intersting to me back then. But as an adult I see all these folks who grew up with this stuff and it made me wonder what it was that drove them to even enjoy these things. So I began rediscovering all these past games. I've been playing every single game I can get my hands on, from the start to finish whether if its painfully difficult or not.

Either way I decided to draw Megaman from this game. Really been having fun. Super awesome. Super sweet story.

This is my facebook banner for now until I finish the game. The next game I play I'll draw a new banner or an avatar to just honor the game.

Skybase draws Megaman Legends

On another note I do want to mention I did work with NCH85 on his ever famous MonsterHunter animation series. I basically do the voices and sfx. So all the grunts you heard are my voice and me screaming at midnight into a tiny microphone. My company borrowed my main mic so I kinda had no choice. At least it sounds ok.

I've recently been busy just doing all sorts of stuff. I don't do sound/music by profession, more like a hobby, but I still do stuff anyway. If anybody wants to work with me on that I don't mind, but I'm just going to be busy trying to sort things in life. I'll try my best to work something out.

Cheers everybody

Skybase - Bang!

Here's Cosmos, the messed up, inside out kid whose body is the universe itself. Hence he's ... completely dark inside.

And yes, same character as my avatar!

I made music for The Artist by NCH, seen here : http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/644286

A minor note: There's this thing where people kinda say "You should get a degree in business" and sure, you should purse anything that helps. But the thing here is that even if you have a degree in business, you basically meet crappy people anyway. Art is business and a lot of people think artists do "art" for a living, but we're really making "products" via the practice of art.

A lot of schools prepare you to go into studios, not into freelance. So you're not going into school to just learn art, you're learning to cooperate and team up with others and learn how to create and carry a vision. In some schools, they will teach you how to conduct business, so an art degree isn't entirely just art.

Remember, if you're in the industry, you're making products not art. We're bound by countracts and paper work to assure that both parties don't make a mess. But awful people exist regardless of where you are. It's more like people skills that helps than a degree in business or art.

Cheers.

Honestly I think I got way too many things happening right now. It's all great but the issue is I've gotta put more quality into it. I've been pushing the scope of what I've been doing even further to see if I can crank out even more awesomeness. The trouble is, it also means that I'd have less updates!

I honestly rather have more good stuff anyway.

So you'll see stuff happen soon.
